Hitherway started the way most useful tools do: someone needed it and the existing options were bad. A web designer building a site for a landscaping company went looking for a service area map generator — and found tools that either drew a vague colored blob on top of Google Maps, didn't show county lines at all, or wrapped the whole thing in a clunky interface from another decade.

Service businesses think in counties, cities, and towns — not radii. A landscaper serves “Wake, Durham, and Orange counties”, not “a 25-mile circle”. So Hitherway is built around real county geometry: every one of the 3,200+ US counties, selectable individually or whole states at once, with accurate boundary lines.

How we make money

Two ways, and both are straightforward: display ads on the site (that's most of it), and an optional one-time Pro upgradethat removes watermarks and unlocks 4K exports. No subscriptions, no feature-hostage tactics, no selling your data — there's barely any data to sell, since maps stay in your browser.
